The Concept
Two sets of Neightbors.
Two homes.
Two designers.
One Carpenter.
One Host.
48 Hours.
$1000 Budget.
Basically two sets of neighbors decide they want to re-decorate
each others rooms. Trading Spaces comes in with a designer.
They all switch homes, each home has a $1000 budget and
48 hours to do whatever they want to their neighbors home.
They paint, rip up carpet, put down new flooring, new furniture
is built, old furniture is reupholstered/painted or thrown
out. At the end of the 48 hours, the neighbors are returned
to their own homes to see their new rooms. For the most
part, the homeowners are really happy with the results.
But then you have those episodes where moss or hay is on
the walls, or a ceiling fan has been taken down, or pink
couches have taken the place of white ones. You won't believe
it until you watch it -- if you've not seen Trading Spaces,
tune in to TLC weekdays at 4:00 PM (EST) and different times
throughout the weekend.
